The series has an interesting plot. It is placed in the city of Mexico where a tight crew of three reigned and called them the kings of the area, as suggested by the name of the series, “We were kings”. The twist in the series arises when one of the friends, falls in love with the mother of his best friend. Without having any clue about the same, his best friend witnesses his mother kissing the guy, which leads to a clash between the two and makes them a rival.
