Out of My Mind: Synopsis
We have often seen specially abled people being treated differently, but what if they would be made a part of us? Sounds exciting yet surprising right? Mind full of questions, how would they do their work? How would they study, walk, talk and what not? Well, to put a full stop to all your questions Disney+ has released its original movie, “Out of My Mind” on November 22, that shows a specially abled student become a part of mainstream education and later lead a life, just like others.
Just like “The Fault in Our Stars”, “Out of My Mind” is also a movie based on a novel under the same name written by , “Sharon M. Draper”. Starring Phoebe-Rae Taylor in the lead role with Jennifer Aniston’s voice. This movie is definitely going to be an emotional rollercoaster, with a happy ending.
The plot of the movie is about Melody Brooks, a sixth grader, suffering from Cerebral palsy. The girl blessed with a sharp mind, struggles because of her inability to speak and being on a wheelchair, keeping her completely separated and away from opportunities. However, her potential doesn’t go unnoticed by a young educator, who gives her a chance and makes her a part of mainstream education. Melody’s parents also get her a talker, as shown in the trailer which becomes her voice, proving that “What melody says is more important than how she says it.”
